Children learn best when they feel calm, engaged, and supported. EMTARA Kids delivers play-based incursions to preschoolers that teach them to recognise when someone needs help, apply basic first aid skills and seek safe grown ups in an emergency. We have embedded the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) outcomes within our workshops to nurture a childs skills, confidence, and safety awareness.
Our sessions will teach children how to:
- Check for danger and move to a safe space
- Call 000 or ask a safe grown up for help
- Recognise if someone is unresponsive or not breathing
- Place someone safely in the recovery position
- Provide basic first aid such as bandaging cuts, managing minor burns, and understanding snake bite safety
